The European Tour moves on to Cyprus and I have decided I don’t really want to guess – I could throw loads of darts at loads of players who it should suit and my assumption is that it will play similar to last weeks resort course in Italy, but it’s only a guess so what’s the point? The only player I have backed is by way of maintaining a bit of faith in Oliver Wilson now that he has finally made a cut. It really is a fairly minimal investment at 500/1 e/w and 800 plus on Betfair, keep ay eye on Twitter for any in play bets.
At least on the PGA tour we have a years course form but then we are plagued by the vagaries of potentially windy weather. I put up Tyler McCumber the other day @ 66/1 e/w which has gone but I jumped way too early on the Betfair price – at the time of writing he is currently out to 130 and I have had to top up.
I alluded to one other player on Twitter and I have now been matched @ 1000 win 160 top 5 average and 48 top 10, and now you can all have a chuckle – it’s John Oda. There is some method in my madness though he really hasn’t kicked on much since his 8th at Mayakoba on his pro debut but it’s his best results on the Korn Ferry tour that caught my attention. He has played in the Bahamas events four times on that tour and has amassed a 2nd and a brace of 4th’s. Is it any surprise that he has played well in those events – well no not really, for those of you unfamiliar with him he hails from Hawaii and conditions will be ideal for him this week. They will have to be as to be honest he is bang out of form at the moment, hence the price. He’s also 375/1 with Betfair/Paddy without the faves.
On the Champions Tour at least we don’t have Phil Mickelson to contend with spraying it all over the place but yet still winning. I am going to maintain faith in Cameron Beckman this week whose game is gradually coming together and this event has a history of players winning at their first attempt. I am on at 100/1 e/w and that has been nibbled at all week but he is still that price with Starsports.
