ABOUT
In the year 2000 I left my job and decided to embark on a new career as a professional gambler, the internet betting revolution was in its infancy and the future looked exciting. I formed Sports Betting Index in the belief that at some point a back-up source of income would be required to cope with the inevitable lows of such a profession.
In the early days I would bet on a huge range of things from athletics to tennis and all sports inbetween, but my main bread winner was always golf, and that's still the case twenty years on.
I have spent more time recently on National Hunt Racing which is something that was always a passionate hobby in the past, but is now proving to be very lucrative. You have to be able to adapt to keep your head above water in this game!

Over the years I have also written betting articles for a variety of publications, mainly about golf, and if you are interested in having a guest writer for your publications, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. For examples of articles I have written for such sites as Sportinglife and Betfair you can click on the links below:

You can follow my betting tips via Twitter @SBIdotcom and on the betting blog here on the site. In order to keep Sports Betting Index free please try and open betting accounts with the bookmakers that advertise here, there are very few I promote and will never bombard you with adverts.
