I'll start off my with my bet in tomorrow Thyestes Chase (the 3.30 Gowran) which is Harry des Ongrais. Henry de Bromhead has a decent record in this from limited runners - think it's only 11 and has two winners and two places. Harry is lightly raced for a 9 yo with only 14 runs in total and only five chase runs. Won a 2 1/2 mile beginners chase around here a year ago but two starts later was PU in the Irish National though did run OK for the first three miles. Was off for seven months returning in a listed handicap chase last month finishing a decent 3rd. I think he's relatively unexposed for a trainer with a good track record and he has twice won on second run back after a break, around the 14/1 ew mark appeals.

Dubai - I put up three players early doors on Monday and they are still there or thereabouts in price and much bigger for a possible trade on Betfair. Laurie Canter actually secured a PGA tour card via his exploits on the DP tour last year but decided to join LIV. From four starts here has a 3rd and a 4th and was also 3rd in the Tour Championship in November. He followed his 3rd here last year with a win in Bahrain and if he isn't too rusty 70/1 e/w ish and 120 win Betfair seem big. Dylan Frittelli - a player who normally gets in his own way but can pop up with a win now and again - has six to his name in his career. Has a 6th and a 10th here and shook off the rust with a 10th last week though final round was fairly poor. Odds around 200/1 ew and 300 win Betfair Adrian Meronk another LIV player who could be a bit rusty but who also has a 2nd and 4th here along with a brace of m/c's - which is exactly what he is like - very hit and miss. He does have five wins from his last 90 starts so the price is quite insulting around 200/1 ew and reached 450 on Betfair yesterday - still 350 today. FRL - probably a bias to early morning - will be keeping an eye on Brandon Robinson-Thompson this year especially in the desert - sadly a late tee time this week but maybe a few quid e/w 100/1+ wouldn't be amiss.

PGA Tour - Amex - I only put up one up on X - Justin Lower at odds of 500/1 + - a big price for a player that was 3rd in this last year. That finish came on the back of Autumn 2024 finishes of 7th, 2nd and 5th on tour. Didn't quite have the same Autumn last year but was 3rd in Utah in October but am worried he didn't bother with Hawaii this year though he really shouldn't be these odds with the place part. He also quite likes multi course pro ams having been 2nd and 9th on the Korn Ferry tour BMW event. A past winner of that event is Ryan Gerard who I wouldn't rule out and having backed Nick Dunlap (amateur winner here 24) last week where he had a poor third round I can't resist a few quid 300+ on Betfair

First to admit it has been a frustrating run of late the places just about keep you ticking over but it’s the wins that provide the profit plus the trades help. Higgo has now let us down twice when in
