Legends Italian Senior Open Another quiet week for me before the off but this one stood out like a sore thumb, but I wanted to wait until this morning when more prices became available and suffice to say Jamie Donaldson has been hammered. I'll be honest when it comes to debutants on either of the Senior tours we are all basically guessing - this week my guess was he wouldn't be above 16/1 so 35 - 45 seemed very wrong. Quite simply Donaldson has maintained a decent level of golf later on into his career. His last win in Thailand came shortly after his 40th birthday, he was 2nd @ Wentworth just four years ago, his last top five on the main tour came just 18 months ago and he made three cuts on tour back in the Spring. We always also have the question - will he like the course? well we already have an answer to that to some degree as back in 2007 he was 2nd @ San Domenica in the Challenge Tour Grand Final. All in all I think he's still a cracking bet @ the 25/28 still there and I believe there's a few who agree!

PGA Bank of Utah Championship I put up Karl Vilips on Monday on X as I thought the circa 90 price point was far too big and I'm surprised that price has held and I topped up around the 140 mark on Betfair for the win. He only turned pro last Summer and had a 2nd and then a 1st on the Korn Ferry tour with the win coming in Utah which secured his PGA card. Then in just this third main tour start he won in Puerto Rico in an event which was just as weak as this weeks. Not done a lot since bar an 11th @ Colonial but has made his last three cuts and the price just seems too big to me My only other pre tournament bet is in this in the FRL market and it won't be any surprise for me to put up Cristobel del Solar. As I've said for a long time now you never know when he's going to go low early but you will make good money long term. This week could be a better one than many as the course should really suit his "couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo" style of playing. The place is wide open and at altitude where so many of his low scores have come including his 57 in Bogota. At odds of around 300/1 ew he's a no brainer bet for me.

India Championship I've been a bit busy this week doing other things and have just realised I've only mentioned one golfer on X and that was Yuvraj Sandhu at the ridiculous price of 1000/1 + on Monda
