Peter Hanson |
Hanson was consistency on legs last season with 25 starts he finished 20th on the Order of Merit - and that was without a win! If he can turn 1 or 2 of his high finishes into wins then we really think he has the ability to compete with the rest of the players in Europe. |

When you look at the last few years results Owen 4th,Davis 1st,Gronberg 1st,Hansen 4th - there is a theme - each are Euorpean tour players who have their Euro cards assured and are trying to step up to the big time, Canizares is a talented young player who has also had a few outings on the PGA tour this year with 2 top 25 finishes and showed his good form with a 2nd in Madrid a month ago. |

To be honest this is quite a strong field and it is good to see the top Argentinians supporting their home tour (unlike a lot of top players around the world) and it is good for us as it creates some value further down the field. We will go for Acosta who was 4th in Argentina at the weekend and 3rd in Chile a few weeks ago.He can boast some good form round Rosario including a 2nd and 7th and has played well in co-sanctioned events before including back to back top 3 finishes in Costa Rica in the last 2 years. |

Last week we looked at the USA price and thought it was just plain wrong - this time we think Sims' price is badly wrong. The field is incredibly weak and we have a player who has plied his trade on the PGA tour this season with a top 10 in his penultimate event. He really had a problem getting entries to events on the PGA tour having recovered from injury and actually has a medical extension.
He was the world amateur no 1 just 2 years ago and has won on the Nationwide Tour and as far as New Zealand goes he did win the NZ amateur so will have fond memories. |

He has played some top rounds here before, playing superbly for 2 rounds last year and was 4th in 2004.He does have an extra incentive to win this year and there will not be a dry eye in the house if he wins and dedicates his victory to "Bowdie's Boy" - maybe last year the pressure was too great.Read here for more info. |
