Well we have to have a big priced outsider in a major where we often have shock results.In his last 5 US Opens he has managed a 4th and 6th placed finish and in his last start on tour he was 6th so how can he be such a big price? Admittedly it has been 6 years since he last won but he has been plagued by injury yet is still capable of firing a few low rounds and getting into contention so we have to go for the place markets more than the win. |

Sullivan is one of those players who is certainly capable of winning on tour and this sort of event will present his best chance of achieving that goal - he has already won on the Challenge Tour and to be honest this isn't much better than that level. He has certainly shown signs of some better form in the last few weeks and has performed here well before having led after round 1 on his first appearance here. |

We are a sucker for course form and you don't get much better than Hepworths' form here where he has been 4/4/6/18 in his last 4 appearances at St Omer.Whilst he has not played brilliantly on the Challenge Tour this season he has played some really good rounds over the last month and it would not be a surprise to see him at the fore come Sunday. |

We have talked before about his form in the state of California and have reaped the rewards and we have to go for him again at a venue where he was 7th in 07. Quinney again secured his card early for next season with a 2nd in California and has started firing again over the last month with an impressive 3rd at the Players but we feel this will be the best market to play him in as its his first US Open as a professional. |

Perhaps we were a bit premature when tipping Clark at the weekend when he was going well at the St Jude but he was 2nd the week before and we were not expecting the final round collapse that happened but having said that - a 3 figure price is still too big. The value lies in the place part and certainly not the win as he has a good record in Majors over the last 5 seasons with a top 5 finish in 3 different Majors. |

It is not often we will pick a player who has missed his last 3 cuts but this course seems to be a bit of a specialists course and Storm has 3 top 10 finishes in 3 appearances here. He has never played well at Wentowrth so that doesn't worry us and we really don't know why he went to the US last week to miss the cut at the Memorial. Back in March he had a great run of events including a 6th in a WGC event. He eventually won on the main tour last year in France on a course which to us is similar to Fontana this week.If you leave out the last 3 events he would be starting nearer favourite for this. |

Pak is certainly a veteran of the LPGA and these days seems to reserve her best for the Majors and she has won this one 3 times in 10 attempts twice at Dupont and then once here at Bulle Rock 2 years ago. She doesn't play as much as when she dominated the tour but 2 top 10's in her last 3 LPGA appearances and 5 top 10 finishes in Majors in the last couple of years prove she is in good form and will bring her A game with her this week. |

Lowery has rock solid course form with top 20 finishes in 4 starts with a best of 3rd 4 years ago.His win at Pebble Beach was a bit of a surprise but he did play well on his start before that and he had his best finish since then last week with a 6th at the Memorial. Whilst he doesn't win very often we were very impressed with the way he closed the deal earlier this year and is well worth a bet at this price. |

We will stick with Rafa at a huge price difference but he could well be the next great Argentinian and he can only find the confidence he needs from last weeks great finish - especially after scoring an eagle at the last! It is a big price drop but this field is very poor and a repeat of last week will see him win this week. As for the course - well it reminds us a lot of a links type course and he played really well at the Dunhill Links event and has gone pretty well on other similar courses. |

We had quite a long list for this weeks event but a few have withdrawn and some of the prices on other candidates such as Gay means we just cannot get involved. His current form has been under rated in our opinion with a 2nd at the Players and 10th at the Crowne Plaza and the missed cut at Sugarloaf doesn't bother us as he has never played well there. He has some solid long term form here over the years including a 5th and 6th and in a field which has really cut up we have to give him a chance. |
