Important Announcement
The New Year will see one fundamental change here at SBI - we will start charging for our hugely profitable betting tips - Sporting Selections .
The rest of the site will remain completely free of charge but for a one-off annual fee you will be able to receive tips via email and as part of the SBI betting club you will have access to an exclusive forum for members only where bet details will be posted and you can ask any questions you need.
This decision has not been taken lightly but the revenue generated from bookmakers has virtually dried up and we need to make the site pay.
The fee will be £600 pa which is not much to pay when you consider our recent profits!

We have been led down the Jose path again this week - tee to green last week he was superb - he just lacked that killer instinct around the greens on Sunday. This week sees another new course this time designed by Nicklaus and Coceres has an exellent record round his designs. His best 2 finishes last year were Montreux and Harbour Town (where of course he has won before) and over the years he has always performed well on them and has won in Florida before. 1/2 pt ew 125/1 Bet365 1/4 5

Our main bet of the week and biggest one of the year so far! The local lad has played well in the event twice before(in 05 he led after rd 2 & 3 and in 03 was 3rd after those 2 rounds)- citing local ties for the reason, and also finished runner-up in his last Florida start. He learnt his trade playing around the local mini-tours in Florida especially playing a lot of Nicklaus resort courses. He also had top 4 finishes at English Turn and Muirfield last season showing he really can play "Jacks" courses

Smail has played quite well on his "Australian swing" making top 20 in all 3 events and it is a little surprising to see him pitch up here whilst waiting for the start of the Japanese tour.We have a feeling it might be because the course will suit his game and the last time he played in Thailand in this event he managed a 4th place finish 1/5 pt ew 125/1 Ladbrokes, Victor Chandler 1/4 5

We will have one bet on a local player to repel the foreign invaders. The Thai golfer combines his time playing on both the Asian and Japanese tours with a great deal of success. The Argentinian will be one of our main bets of the week.Whilst it is a new event on a new course (indeed the first time the PGA tour has ventured to Mexico) looking at the course it seems it will reward accurate drivers and good wind players and there aren't many around better than Coceres. Whilst he has a limited status on tour he showed last season he can still play with 4 top 11 finishes from just 14 starts 1/2 pt ew 125/1 Betfred 1/5 6

Take away that one hole and he would have back to back top 10 finishes this season

We have to give Quinney another try at 3 figure odds although it is difficult to guage how he will react to throwing it away 2 weeks ago. There is every possibility he could take away the psoitives - I doubt he expected 3 top 7 finishes by the first week of February and his playing rights for next year are secured. He also does seem to like it in California as shown by the 7th and 4th this year and 2nd and 3rd on the Nationwide tour last year. 1/4 pt ew 100/1Betfred 1/5 6

He really is a difficult player to catch right but can produce little runs of form and he followed up his win with a top 20 last week. His course form on closer inspection is actually quite good if you leave out last years 51st place in his 3 other visits he was in the top 10 each year at the end of 1 of the 4 rounds played.
