Jaidee is without doubt the top Asian player on show this week, in his last 8 Asian events he can boast 3 wins, 2 seconds and a fourth - hardly a 40/1 shot!

We have a little theory on Foster - in 2000 on the Challenge tour his best finish was 7th at Bowood - in 2001 he won there, in 2002 he was 2nd at the Dunhill - in 2003 he won there, he has played Hong Kong once in 2001 - he finished 4th. Add in a solid 12th in China at the weekend and we feel with have a decent outsider

A great shame that Expekt are not betting ew as this would be a much bigger bet.It is difficult betting in this event this year with public voting deciding the outcome - but the lady from South America is much shorter elsewhere and has been well backed.

Although still a few weeks away there have been many market movers already and we seriously believe this woman will be starting off nearer favourite on the night.

Although he has never set the world alight here he would love to win in his home country. Steady in training he has won 4 of his last 20 World Cup Downhills and these odds are too big to ignore

Kernen has finished comfortably ahead of his rival in all 3 training runs so far and leads him 10-4 in their last 14 World Cup Downhill head to heads - he should be favourite

Walchhofer to bt Strobl

Whilst Strobl is a very consistent downhiller Walchhofer won here last year and has just had the fastest time in each of the first two training runs

China Open 1st rd 3 Balls

Ruangkit to bt Bjorn/Dredge

The local player is in excellent form and playing against this European opposition should be nowhere near as big a price

Unless Bet and Win have heard something that we haven't (which we doubt!) then this price is very generous.

Shinhan Korean Champs

For a player who has won twice in Japan recently and will feel more at home than most of these players this price really is double what it should be.

The "baby faced assassin" plays little golf in his native Australia these days but his last five visits have resulted in finishes of 1/11/7/10/11 - the win came in this event so these odds seem generous to us

Safin finishing the year in great form but surely this is an over-reaction. They both lost very tight encounters to Roddick and the winner gets the pleasure of Federer in semi finals. Past meetings suggest this could be tight.

Bet and Win seemd to have failed to notice that tomorrow its 4somes not 4balls and scores will be somewhat higher than today!!

We were just going to stick with the one bet this week but we feel that Ladbrokes have again quoted too high a price about one of the leading Japanese players. With back to back victories last month and top 10's in both starts since he really should be half these odds.

We see no reason to desert Kase after another excellent finish at the weekend. The 66/1 last week was a standout price - this week Woods is playing but we do not understand how he should be a longer price this week. Admittedly his course form is not brilliant over the years but he was 10th last year and is in the form of his life at the moment

He maybe now in his 40's but we are not put off as the last two winners here have been 48. He is in excellent form with 7 top 10's in his last 12 events - including a win. He has solid course form over the years and was 5th last year and the price is an over-reaction to the presence of Clarke and Westwood and the last 5 winners have all been Japanese.

New York Marathon - Womens

This just sems a very big price for a runner who has finished 5th and 2nd in the last two NY marathons. She also finished 2nd in Boston last year and in our opinion anyone taking odds on prices for Paula are mad.

The 25 year old Tanzanian is trying the marathon for the second time, last year in London he collided with eventual winner Rutto a few miles from the finish - the fall cost him dear as he was travelling strongly at the time. If he can stay on his feet he should be a strong contender
