Jose Maria Olazabal
We normally would not entertain an ante-post bet on a golf tournament this far in advance but this price on an Augusta expert is simply wrong - he will go off much shorter unless he loses a leg!!

The fact that she even got nominated says a lot and we believe she could be the surprise package of this years Globes

Johann Grugger
Not the biggest bet ever struck - but Grugger has impressed in training and having finished 3rd in his last World Cup Downhill he could make these odds look rather large

Snow on Xmas Day
Aberdeen - No
A "hedge" bet for those who took the 11/2 Yes a week ago - basically we now have a free bet that there will be snow - and as there is nothing more fickle than the British weather this seems the sensible option

Weather
Snow on Xmas Day
Aberdeen - Yes
The long range weather forecast currently states - A change to unsettled conditions in mid-December is expected to be followed by a change to much colder weather with some snow. Obviously the timing of this change will be crucial, but it does look as though cold weather may be affecting the UK over the Christmas period. As well as being cold, we expect a rather unstable airflow to bring an increased risk of precipitation, and this may well fall as snow in parts of the UK. Northern and eastern areas look to have the best chance of snowfall.

There seems to be a certain amount of money around this morning which suggests that Poiree has finally got her shooting under control - if she has this price is very big

Okinawa Open
Yusaka Miyazato
We have had the young Japanese player in mind for this event for some time now as he has finished runner-up here in the last 2 years. Sadly they have changed the venue but we believe that may not hamper him as the reason for his affinity with the event could well be that he was born in Okinawa.

Nicole Hosp
On the comeback from injury she showed she was not far off being fit again with a 4th place in Aspen. Her last 7WC Slalom finishes read 3/1/2/25/3/4/DNF so the odds look very generous for her return home

Mens Downhill Val D'Isere
Antoine Deneriaz
His best discipline is probably the Downhill as he showed with a 2nd place finish at Lake Louise. His price has lengthened after a poorer showing at Beaver Creek (where he always skis badly) and some poor Super G's - not his discipline. On a return to his home country we feel he could put in a very solid performance.

Dunhill Championship
Andrew McLardy
McLardy is a much better player on home soil than when on his travels around the globe. He won at Leopard Creek earlier this year in the SA Tour Championship and was 4th 2 years before. With Els a very short priced favourite there is certainly value to be had further down the field.

Nadal to bt Roddick
The youngster has been given the nod over Ferrero and the hint should be taken. This is a tough match to price up as Roddick can be made to look all very ordinary on the red stuff. We make Nadal a slight fav
